Daddy was a simple man,by this I mean he never wanted or needed all the earthly material things, we strive for every day. He was a very Godly dedicated hard working man who provided well and as much as he could for a family of ten. Those who knew him or met him would never forget him. He gave so much but received so little, in the way of material things. Daddy was a proud man, his handshake and word was as good as a written contract , and he took a person at their word and honesty. He never judged a person and  I never heard him gossip about anyone or their actions.. He didn't have to physically  punish you for wrong doing, but he had that look of disappointment in his eyes that would shred you to pieces and make you wished he had . Daddy was in such pain for the last few years of his life, but he never complained,  he felt like he was being a burden to his children but we always told him how much we loved him daily and how we were honored to do what ever we could to help ease the burden he carried. Daddy was called into the waiting arms of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior on the early eve of February 19, 2009, surrounded by the love of his life Ann whom he was joined in marriage to for 51 beautiful years, and his loving children,to include his faithful feline  Tabitha..

Mama and daddy had a wonderful life together , it wasn't easy by any means but theirs was a love story  that lasted till death they did part, when daddy left us. We will always long to see him , but we'll meet again when he welcomes us home, at the gates of Heaven.
Lilac was daddy's favorite color, the day he meet mamma she was wearing a lilac dress and it was love at first sight for him and I'm sure her too. This song ON TOP OF OLD SMOKEY < DADDY SUNG THIS SO MANY TIMES I FOUND IT A FITTING TRIBUTE  TO  HIS MEMORY<
This is the poem read at daddy's  celebration  of life service.

When I am gone, release me, let me go.

I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,

But be thankful we had so many good years.

I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you've given me in happiness.

I thank you for the love that you have shown,
But now it is time I traveled on alone.

So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
That it is only for a while that we must part,
So treasure the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away for life goes on.

And if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear

And then, when you come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home

Death is Not the End

Death is not the end
Death can never be the end.
Death is the road.
Life is the traveller.
The Soul is the Guide
Our mind thinks of death.
Our heart thinks of life
Our soul thinks of Immortality.

Sri Chinmoy

Let us be silent that we may hear the whisper of God.

Death leaves a heartache
no one can heal;
Love leaves a memory no
one can steal
